This is a very bright LED Panel Light with 5500-6000 Cool White LEDs. This panel is 18" Long, we also have one that is 26" Long.
This is very bright for its size. Great for those that want a very bright kitchen under cabinet light, bathroom light, workbench light, or anywhere you need a lot of light with a nice panel light. This panel is almost twice as bright as a similar sized fluorescent fixture (compared to 12" tube light fixture).
It features an acrylic lens, aluminum body with full aluminum back, and matching plastic end caps. The 4 mounting screws hide under the end caps. The light also has a touch on/off switch integrated into one of the end caps. If used with a wall switch, the light will be off when you turn the wall switch on (touch switch always defaults to off). If you want the touch switch permanently disabled, we can do that prior to shipping, put this request in the order comments.
If replacing and existing fixture, be sure to measure the footprint of your existing fixture and compare it to the dimensions below.

WOW! My kitchen is bright now. I enjoy cooking more now. Food actually looks better too. This light puts out a lot of light and it's real light not blue light.
I replaced six failed or failing fluorescent fixtures in my 2005 RV with these units. They were very well made and installed relatively easily. They pull less current (1.2A at 12.8 V) than the fixtures they replaced and are very noticeably brighter. In a couple of cases, almost too bright. My only wish is that these were available in other color temperatures. These, rated at 5500K, are pretty much daylight color. This are great for work areas but I would have preferred a warmer/redder lower color temperature lighting for my dining and sleeping areas.
There was enough clearance between the aluminum heat sink and the power wires that the units did not need to be carefully positioned over the holes in the mounting surface. This made it easy to position the units anywhere where the fixture covered the wiring hole.
Some suggestions on installing these:
Cut a template from the box they come in sizing it to the fixture outline with marks for the mounting holes. This makes it simple to position where the fixture is to be mounted and to drill the mounting holes. M4 would do well to print such a template on the box to be cut out but not difficult to do manually.
The end caps come off to expose the mounting holes. In several cases for my installation, one or both ends were close to adjacent walls making it difficult to replace the screws that held the end caps in place. In those cases, I was able to use a drywall bit and install and tighten these screws using just my fingers to turn. Only a couple of inches clearance is needed here.
In case you are not sure of the polarity (red is +, white is -), I was told that connecting these backwards does not damage the fixtures. If they don't work initially, try reversing the power leads.
After receiving the first product from M4 we were very impressed by the outstanding construction of the product and the instructions that come with it. This new 18" long panel light fixture is still keeping with the other products that we have purchased from M4, Outstanding in every way. To say that we are happy with the M4 products would be an under statement. This is the only place we get lighting for are RV.
Older person, needed a light to read at night by. The typical rv light even led not bright enough to keep from straining. Considered the larger panel light, i was advised it would be to much and this light was coming out soon. It installed very easy covering the original light opening. It is now over my rv bed and both of us get plenty of light to read by, perfect for us. We had the touch switch disabled as we have a switch in place and fortunately the light is about 4' over our head and a little behind. highly reccomend for this purpose.
Oh my goodness.
Upgraded TT lights.
First one was so good, I bought another.
Lots of light.
I wish I had known I could have the touch switch deactivated.
Other than my error, it couldn't be better. Slim profile, slideout clearance, etc.
