A great reading lamp replacement for double pin G4s found in Airstreams(tm) and other RVs. This retrofit has a single large LED that has a directional flood pattern for just the right amount of light exactly where you need it. It is narrow enough to fit these reading fixtures, and will give it the clean look with its aluminum heat sink body and single high powered LED. It also uses a fraction of the power of the halogen it replaces, and is much cooler.
This retrofit is also available in Warm White, see part number G4-HP3W-CW

G4-HP3W-WW Warm White
We have a 2004 Country Coach Allure. We have tried many LED lights that stopped working, blinked, the light wasn't a good color or wasn't bright enough. These are perfect.

Like the color, brightness
Swapped out halogen bulbs in three reading lights in our 2005 Airstream International; the WW color is excellent and the brightness closely matches the halogens. Will definitely appreciate the much lower energy usage and lower temperatures on a three-month tour of the West this summer.

Good option for reading lights
I used these in a 2007 CC Allure with fairly shallow reading light assemblies. The only caution is that the pins on these lights are larger in diameter than the pins on the little halogen bulbs they were replacing. It was difficult to push the new bulbs into the fixtures. I was fearful of breaking them since much pressure was required to seat them.
You must also observer polarity on these. If they don't work when installed, remove, rotate and re-insert.
Overall, very pleased with them. They put out plenty of light. -
Great retrofit RV bulb, check polarity
I used this bulb to retrofit my 2007 Airstream incondescent spotlight reading bulbs . Great improvement, equal light lumens with 90% less power. This is not only more efficent and cost savings in means many more days of dry camping! However, these are the only LED bulbs I had problems with (when I replaced all the bulbs throughout the RV) until I realized that it matters which way you put them in (polarity). So if it doesn't work rotate bulb 180 degees and reinstall! Most other bulbs the polarity doesn't matter.
